A lot of older homes around here also mix painted trim with real Ozark fieldstone or limestone, a style that goes back to the early and mid-1900s when builders used whatever sandstone and dolomite they could pull straight from the ground. We know how to paint and prep around that stonework without covering up the parts that were never meant to be painted.
